【英语作文暑假趣事4年级（作文1100字）】The summer vacation is always the most exciting time of the year for students. It's a time when we can relax, play, and have fun without the pressure of school. This summer, I had a lot of interesting experiences, and one of them stands out in my memory.
It was a sunny morning in July. My parents and I decided to go on a trip to the countryside. We packed our bags with clothes, snacks, and some books. I was very excited because I had never been to the countryside before. The journey took about two hours by bus, and along the way, I saw many beautiful fields and tall trees. I felt like I was in a picture book.
When we arrived at the countryside, it was very quiet and peaceful. There were no cars honking or people shouting. Just the sound of birds singing and the wind blowing through the trees. My uncle lived there, and he welcomed us with a big smile. He showed us around his farm, where there were chickens, cows, and even a small pond.
I loved playing with the animals. I fed the chickens and watched them run around. My uncle told me that they laid eggs every day, and I got to collect some fresh eggs. That was the first time I had ever seen an egg being laid! I also helped water the vegetables in the garden. It was hard work, but I felt proud when I saw the plants grow.
One afternoon, my cousin and I went to the river nearby. We brought our fishing rods and tried to catch fish. At first, I didn't know how to do it, so my cousin showed me. He taught me how to cast the line and wait patiently. After a while, I felt a tug on the line. I was so excited! I pulled it up and saw a small fish swimming in the water. Although it wasn't very big, I was very happy. We put it back into the river, and I felt good about helping the environment.
In the evenings, we sat outside and told stories. My uncle shared many funny tales from his childhood, and I listened with great interest. Sometimes, we would look at the stars and talk about what they looked like. It was a magical moment, and I felt very close to my family.
During the trip, I also learned a lot. I learned how to take care of animals, how to be patient, and how to enjoy simple things. I realized that sometimes the best memories are made not by doing something big, but by spending time with loved ones and enjoying nature.
When the time came to go back, I felt sad. I didn't want to leave the peaceful countryside. But I knew I would remember this trip for a long time. It was a special summer, and I will always cherish the moments I spent with my family and the new experiences I had.
This summer was full of fun and learning, and I am grateful for every moment. I hope to have another trip like this next summer. Until then, I will keep the memories of this wonderful time in my heart.
