【英语作文旅游日记】Last weekend, I went on a short trip to the countryside with my family. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. We left early in the morning and arrived at our destination around noon. The place was very peaceful and surrounded by green hills and clear rivers.

We stayed in a small village house that was built near a lake. The air was fresh, and the scenery was beautiful. My parents cooked a simple lunch, and we ate together under a big tree. After lunch, we decided to take a walk along the river. The water was so clear, and there were many birds flying overhead. I felt very relaxed and happy.

In the afternoon, we visited a local market where people sold handmade crafts and fresh fruits. I bought a small wooden toy for my younger brother, and he was very excited. Later, we went to a nearby hill and climbed up to enjoy the view. From the top, we could see the whole village and the vast fields of rice. It was a breathtaking sight.

At night, we had a barbecue in the backyard of the house. The food was delicious, and we shared stories and laughed a lot. The stars were bright, and the sky was clear. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

This trip made me realize how important it is to take time off from busy life and enjoy nature. I hope to go on more trips like this in the future. I also learned that sometimes the simplest things can bring the most happiness.
